Of course, the penguins play themselves. No actors here.
Señor Cousin
The Fixer
Nobody quite knows what Cousin does, only that he's very good at it. Trenchcoat: always. Plan: usually questionable. Alibi: airtight. When the crew needs an airport quietly rearranged on short notice, Cousin makes one phone call, and it just happens.
Frank
The Captain
Frank has flown longer than most of the cast has been alive, and it shows — in his eyes, his coat, and his extremely specific opinions about crosswind landing inertia. He wears his old captain's hat everywhere, on the theory that a good hat never really retires, even if the airline it came from did.
Nephew
The Volunteer
Nobody quite remembers whose nephew he actually is, least of all him. By day he flies the BBLP's volunteer aerial firefighting tanker; the rest of the time he insists on being paged for absolutely everything. Enthusiasm: dangerously high. Actual seniority: none. Everyone loves him anyway.
The Commander
Sven has more medals than documented missions, and he will happily explain the difference if given several hours and an audience. Founder, sole general, and entire officer corps of the Penguin Liberation Air Force. His crowning achievement remains a certain 2025 operation to "liberate" a 747 — ask CONAIR Flight Standards about it sometime.
The real PSCC team behind the production.
ATLAS
Just a Bus Driver and flight simmer with a serious love for aviation. Airbus enthusiast at heart, but I've always had a soft spot for the legendary Boeing 747. From realistic cockpit procedures to long-haul adventures, I'm all about bringing the experience of commercial aviation to the virtual skies.
BAKER
Baker is a professional musician, and maintains that a beautifully shaped musical phrase and a well-flown 747 sector have much in common: both require structure, direction, good timing, and ideally a graceful arrival. His callsign has no connection with Martin-Baker, though an ejection seat has occasionally seemed an attractive addition to the 747 flight deck. Baker is also an avid touring motorcyclist, in spite of which, at the time of printing, he was still alive.
CRAVE
744 addict for a lifetime, full size dual crew 744 cockpit down to the last CB. Coffee is mandatory but prefers Pinot Noir. Has been seen leaving the aircraft via parachute.
KAROV
Engineer by profession and PSX/747-400/8 friend. Integrity, courage, collaboration, and the focus on excellence are important to me. In my spare time, I am engaged with PSX, flying and enjoy being part of the PSCC. Motto: Always tuned in and cruising comfortably Sim: PSX + Environment Known weakness: My passion
LIPPA
Bitten by the aviation bug at an early age, and a long-time flight simmer ever since. What started as an interest in the Boeing 747-400 became a passion for learning her inside out. Now a junior member of the Penguin crew: meeting great people, finding his way around multi-cockpit operations, and finally taking (partial) part in WorldFlight.
MACRO
PSCC software expert and the developer behind FrankenWeather, FrankenRouter and other gadgets making the simulator fly. NOOT! - Flight of the Penguins director. Debugs in production. Coffee: mandatory.
MARK
A lifelong Boeing 747 fanatic, with a particularly incurable affection for the 747-400. The infection started many years ago aboard a Thai Airways 747-200 — and there has been no known cure since. German by birth, now living in Swiss paradise, Mark has taken his 747 obsession to the perfectly reasonable level of building a hardware flight deck at home — much to the ongoing concern of his personal CEO/CFO. A dedicated freight dog in the virtual skies, happiest somewhere at FL350 with four engines running, a ridiculous amount of fuel on board, and several hundred tons of aeroplane to worry about. Favourite aircraft: 747-400. Obviously. Preferred cargo: Anything that pays. Natural habitat: Left seat, preferably at night. Known weakness: More 747 hardware.
MAWEA
Photographer, bookworm, cyclist and chef for anyone he likes – cooks best for good friends and family. Pilot with a heart for his crews, real and PSCC. But above all a family man through and through.
VOIPM
PSCC testing department. With the PSCC crew from the early days, when routing actually meant socat'ing packets through 4 countries. Flying all over the world from the comfort of home in a (mostly) dual seat 747 cockpit. Still a WIP though, maturing with age. 'Hail to the queen, baby!' - there can be only one.
